F is for Festival of Fools — Andy Henry Studio A-Z

F is for Festival of Fools. While going through my project archive, I realised that I’ve got a favourite project for every letter of the alphabet.

This is part of the A-Z we remember fondly. Early in my career from 2004-2011, while working with Keith Connolly at Tonic Design and later as a freelance designer, I designed all of the materials for the notorious street theatre festival.

These idiosyncratic visuals captured the essence of the anarchic performances and provided consistency year on year with a graphic style that is still in use today.

The mighty Festival of Fools continues annually on May Day weekend. Letter ‘F’ of the A-Z is dedicated to the memory of the marvellous founder of the festival Mr Will Chamberlain.
